What is lucid dreaming?

What is this lucid dreaming you may ask? Lucid dreaming could be defined as a state of dreaming when one is consciously aware of being dreaming. Once you become aware that you are dreaming, you can do anything you imagine. Although such skill will require good deal of practice to achieve, it is possible and definitely worth it. The possibilities are endless. It may start from confronting dream figures, questioning them or heaving conversations, experimenting with situations, trying things you simply would not dare or could not do in real life, such as flying. You can posses super powers or create situations you want, experiencing great adventures. And yet at the moment is seems just as real as waking life, or often times even more than waking life.

Some people have this ability naturally, but still, it requires practice in order to have lucid dreams regularly. But the good news is that anyone is able to learn it. It is a great opportunity to self exploration and to experience thighs taht some don't even dream about! No pun intended :-D

Lucid dreaming was usually related with spiritual world and was treated with respect. Indian shamans would be recognized by having a lucid dream. Tibetan Buddhists were practicing a form of yoga in attempt of making a person stay conscious while dreaming.
